Support Groups

Eating Issues Therapy Group
Having support, empathy, and challenge from others can be a powerful, effective way to better understand and cope with eating concerns. Related issues such as self-care, self-esteem, body image, family concerns, and interpersonal relationships will be explored. Wednesdays from 2:30pm - 4:00pm in the Counseling Center.

The Psychological Services Clinic, 211 South 8th Street, 882-4677
The Psychological Services Clinic offers individual, couples, and family therapy, a research-supported program for disordered eating, and a research-supported program for self-harm and related concerns.  Disordered eating services include a 15-session skills training group on mindfulness (including mindful eating), emotion regulation, and distress tolerance.  Coaching calls are also available from some therapists between sessions for help with problem solving in the moment.  The skills training groups for disordered eating cost $10 each.  Fees for other services are based on a sliding scale, with insurance accepted if possible.  Call (573) 882-4677 to schedule an appointment or to learn more about the program for disordered eating.
